Breakthrough Pediatric Therapy’s mission is to provide therapy services within the school environment, to help children reach their full potential.
We aim to 1) Satisfy a services gap that often occurs between the end of early intervention at age three and the start of kindergarten at age five 2) Intervene early to get ahead of issues before children enter elementary school, setting them up for success 3) Allow busy parents with hectic schedules the opportunity for their child to receive services during their school day 4) Guide on-site teachers to help them incorporate carryover therapy into their lessons and everyday interactions.
MORE ABOUT BREAKTHROUGH
We are a therapy team that puts parents’ and kids’ needs first — that begins by offering speech and language and occupational therapy screenings to students at their preschool or daycare during school hours. Following screenings, any child that does not pass will be given the opportunity to receive a comprehensive speech/language and/or occupational therapy language evaluation, also within their school setting, to determine eligibility for treatment. Our in-school evaluation and treatment sessions provide tools, insight and an open-path of communication and collaboration between the therapist, the school’s teachers and staff, the parents and the children.
